LIFE AFTER WORK IS CHANGING

It's time to think differently

CHAPTERS IS AN ADVICE FIRM WHO KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO DO BEST, AND WHO WE WANT TO DO IT FOR.

We’re about helping people like you retire financially comfortably, as masters of their own time, to enjoy the opportunity to see legacies play out, share knowledge and enjoy more of what you value – be it family, travel, learning – in the third phase of life.

We do this by recognising the 3 core barriers to our clients achieving what they desire are:

– Complexity
– Not knowing what you don’t know
– Fear of making the wrong call

We believe that solutions don’t have to be complex, but they do have to be completely aligned with the outcomes and result required. Our goal is to take your “what” and “why” and put structure around the “how”, keeping it as simple as it can be, bringing to the table solutions that may not have been considered and making it easier to act and move forward with full transparency.

The outcome is simply uncertainty removed, the unknown becomes known and you are able to achieve more of what you may not have previously thought possible sooner and with less stress.

The world is changing. Life after work is a bigger part of life than it’s ever been.

It’s time to think differently about retirement.

our journey

The Start

Chapters may be a new brand in our financial advice group (established in 2012), but the opening chapter to our story began some time ago.

Our founders Matthew Ripley & Chris Brown (aka us) have been working in financial advice for two decades, with a vision to provide advice that is about more than just money, investments or protection, but instead about seeking to reinvent (or at least) evolve the way we think about retirement advice.

In many ways you could say our journey has been a lot like our client’s – by following a clear vision and remaining focused on what’s important at all times.

The Start
The Goal

Our vision is about recognising that retirement as we know it has changed.

The average person will now spend a third of their lives enjoying a period of their life where, if we do our job well, work is no longer needed. More than that, most of us will live more active, healthier and connected lives than ever before.

And this is where the bigger goal becomes relevant.

We believe that not only can we help our clients enjoy a more fulfilling and enjoyable retirement free from financial worries or that “will I have enough” feeling, but that in doing so we will provide opportunities for those in this stage of life to play a greater role in giving back to society in the future (if that’s what you choose to do).

The Goal
The Principles

To do this, we believe in doing a few things well in a specific way.

We don’t believe that advice should be made complicated if it needn’t be…
…instead we make it as simple as it can be (and no simpler).

We don’t believe advice should mean giving up control…
…we provide the insight, input and information to make confident decisions.

Retirement isn’t just about numbers and financials…
…and working with specialists is the key to the best outcomes.

The Principles
The Now

We’re on a journey to build a business that is about more than just exiting the workforce.

Advice that’s about more than just what to invest in first.

A process that is focused on more than just what can be counted.

We simplify what others make hard.

We deliver on what matters with a focus on what is important.

We’re about working with people who want to be more than just an investment account.

Enjoy each day. Savour every moment. Finish Strong.
